🌿 In Spain we have a very popular saying that says 🌼 La Primavera La Sangre Altera 🌼 which translated to English, it would mean "Springtime stirs the blood" or we could also say that "Springtime awakens the senses" and I'm truly living that feeling right now. Awakening to Spring!
You see, I have been living for the past 19 years in Miami Beach. A place where you have beautiful flowers and dreamy tropical weather year round. Miami is a city filled with color, art, beautiful beaches, amazing weather and sunny days for most of the year.
Our "winters" are experienced as 2-5 days out of the year around December/February were temperature may drop to mid 50"s even low 40's and for us Floridians, that's cold! ;-)
Last year I decided to leave Miami and come to spend the summer time at my sister's farm in upstate New York, and I have truly loved it. The country side, the farm lifestyle, the healthy homemade fresh food, the long walks with the dogs in the forest, the beautiful green hills, I have to say that country living is doing me really good and so I decided to stay for the winter time, my first winter in almost 2 decades!
I soon discovered that winter time in upstate NY means living in freezing temperatures for up to 6 months, while everything is covered in snow, and you rarely get to see the sun. The colors of winter here are white, brown and grey, with the exception of some green moss that you can find on the trees along the forest. Little did I know that Spring time can take really long time to arrive in this parts of the world, I mean we just had another huge snow storm yesterday and we are in April!
I'm grateful for the experience of living in Winter Wonderland. I'm grateful for all the fabulous pictures and videos I took and for the opportunity of using the mesmerizing snow backgrounds to create beautiful images of my jewelry 🌟
I'm grateful for the magic that winter brings but I'm also ready for the spring time to finally arrive. I want to take my winter coat and wool clothes off, I'm tired of freezing temperatures.
I'm ready for sunny skies, good weather and sundresses adorned with beautiful jewelry. I miss colors, flowers, seen green hills and all the beauty that come with Sprint time. Sprint time is without a doubt my favorite time of the year, specially now;-)
🌿 Springtime is a season of new beginnings and blooming beauty. As the cold grip of winter fades away, nature awakens with a burst of color and life. There is a sense of renewal and rejuvenation in the air, as life emerges from its winter slumber. The world seems to come alive again, vibrant and full of promise. In springtime, we are reminded of the beauty of change and the resilience of nature.
It is a time to appreciate the simple pleasures of life – a leisurely walk in the park, a picnic under a blossoming tree, or simply enjoying some nature photography like I do.
These beautiful flowers that you see on that image, I discovered them a couple days ago when the snow melted away uncovering the first emerging flowers of the season! Ohhhhh and you should have seen my excitement for I could not contain myself. Beautiful colorful flowers, is that you Spring? OH how much I have missed you!
And so as we welcome springtime with open arms, let us be inspired by its beauty getting ready to enjoy the good weather, and to feel the sun caressing our skin, but safely.
💫 Safe sun exposure is critical for a healthy skin and for our overall well-being, and on this blog post I want to share with you some important advice along my very own personal experience. You see when it comes to the sun, I have always been a daredevil. I have lived for two decades on a tropical island, going daily to the beach getting hours of sun exposure and without using sunscreen protection. Something that I would not do today at all, why? because now that I'm 52 is when I'm starting to notice the sun damage on my skin caused by long hours of unprotected sun exposure, not only on my face but my chest in particularly.
One of the skincare products I created "Revive MySkin Serum" was in deed formulated with this in mind, so it would help me restore balance to my skin and diminish dark spots.
Feel the gentle caress of nature's touch as our serum nourishes and hydrates, unveiling a complexion that radiates with a natural, healthy glow. 💫
🌼 With Revive MySkin Serum, you can trust that only the finest, purest ingredients are used. We believe in the power of nature and its ability to heal and restore, which is why our serum is free from harmful chemicals and additives.
Let your skin breathe and thrive with the goodness of Mother Earth. 🌼
SUN EXPOSURE FACTS:
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly and What We Need To Know To Protect Ourselves
Sun exposure can have both benefits and cautions that need to be considered for a healthy balance. The sun, is a powerful source of energy and life providing numerous benefits to our overall well-being. One of the primary benefits of sun exposure is the production of vitamin D in our bodies. Vitamin D is essential for strong bones, a healthy immune system, and overall wellness.
Sunlight can also improve our mood and mental health by boosting the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that contributes to feelings of happiness and well-being. Spending time in the sun can lift our spirits and help combat seasonal affective disorder.
However, it is important to be cautious when it comes to sun exposure, as excessive exposure to sunlight can have harmful effects on our skin and health. Prolonged exposure to UV rays can lead to sunburn, premature aging, and an increased risk of skin cancer. It is crucial to protect our skin by using a healthy natural sunscreen, wearing protective clothing, and seeking shade during peak sun hours.
Finding a balance between enjoying the benefits of sun exposure and protecting ourselves from its harmful effects is key to maintaining a healthy relationship with the sun.
By being mindful of our sun exposure and taking necessary precautions, we can reap the benefits of sunlight while safeguarding our health and well-being. It is also important to remember that many sunscreen products are created with dangerous toxic ingredients proven to create skin cancer, which is the reason why using a Healthy Sunscreen with Natural ingredients is so important.
Natural Health Food stores and other online markets can be a great place to find good sunscreen will protect our skin from the damaging effects of long sun exposure, without the harmful side effects caused by bad toxic ingredients.
